All About The People
We’ve always had a strong focus on people and teamwork, but 2023 will see us take this up a notch!
Towards the end of last year, we welcomed Coralie Cross (known as Cols) to the team as People and Culture Manager, which has set the direction for where we’re wanting to head as a company. Cols will tell you her role means He Tangata – all about the people!
We’re fortunate to have Cols on our team. Not only does she have a degree in Human Resources & Management and over 20 years’ experience working in the HR space in NZ and abroad, but she also genuinely loves people! Her real passion is creating an environment where our people can succeed. And to understand our people and their roles more, she’s already completed her Temporary Traffic Management Worker training.
People & Culture
The words people and culture are often bandied around the workplace, but here at Road Safe they are both hugely important. Why? Well, we know that if we take care of our people, they will take care of our clients. This means creating an incredible culture and environment where our team can thrive, and a workplace where they want to come to work every day!
Our Focus
Our vision is ‘To keep our communities safe, our regions moving and create incredible career journeys for our people’.
We have some great work happening in the Learning and Development space with our Road Safe Training Academy. There are some amazing pathways in the Traffic Management industry, and we’re keen to give our people opportunities to grow and stretch.
As well as training, we’re also doing some work on our Employer Value Proposition. We want to be the employer of choice in the Traffic Management industry and are creating a rewards and benefits programme which supports and recognises our people.
Last, but definitely not least, our priority is ensuring our people get home safe. Safety is our number one value, and ensuring our teams have the tools, gear, knowledge and support to safely complete their roles is vital.
And the final words go to Cols who says, “It’s awesome to be part of a New Zealand success story; a family run company who have built the business from the ground up and who create opportunities for our people.”
